Orienteering race 43:11 [4] **** 6.18 km (6:59 / km) +170m 6:09 / km
spiked:17/22c (injured)
Irish champs relay near the featherbeds
3rd leg of LVO team (Kieran and Declan) running on heather - peat cuttings
was tough enough navigation and had a number of 30 second mistakes losing around 3 mins total so should have run just under 40mins.
started off the pace but had a DFO fella just seconds ahead so it was going to be interesting.
we ran together for the first 9 controls and I guessed had the better of me speed wise but then a gaffle kicked in and when we came back onto the common course he was a few 100m back just held it together and finished ahead.
Other than that not much else happened - except we all probably went home and got showers/baths pretty quick as everybody looked like they had spent a shift down the pits digging coal out by hand, for some reason!
