Day 3 JK Braunton Burrows
M21 short 5th again (3rd overall)

This area was nice but recent rain made it confusing at the start - so took it easy for the first few controls.
was more ragged today but no big mistakes lost aprox 5 mins over 9 controls.
Leg was ok, should be ok for relays tommorrow.

Jack 2nd overall in M16
Harry 40th overall M16
James 10th overall in M12

Forced warm up run - Late again!
It had started to rain aswell too late to wait for bus just legged it up the road.

Orienteering race 58:30 [4] *** 7.48 km (7:49 / km) +200m 6:54 / km
spiked:17/21c (injured)

Day 2 JK M21 short.
58.34 finished 5th (JG had a good run to win)

leg was ok in heavy conditions with a lot of debris on the ground.
made pretty good routes and was in good control except for slight misses near the middle of the course

JK sprint - we were late!
out of car and sprint to the start - no time to check run-in etc.
missed start so took almost 5 mins to first control.
Had a pair of trainers on (I thought this was sposed to be a sprint) so slipped all over the place - especially through the Horse paddocks (I thought this was sposed to be a sprint) and to top it all off made a complete idiot of myself in front of everybody when i realised i was at the wrong final control - should have just MPed.
Roll on the Irish sprint (should i wear my trainers again?)

Leg not as sore as expected

3 mile loop with Jack to test the injury before JK.
wanted to turn back after 5 mins.
Calf muscle very sore on impact - still badly bruised.

Thinking of dropping sprint and relay :(

should be good fun though :)
