Northern Ireland colour series at Florencecourt, Fermanagh.
went with Jack, Harry and James. Me and Jack ran the Brown course

Planner Raymond Finlay said the terrain was
"challenging heather bog overlaying limestone. The result is a complex terrain of rocky knolls, hills with numerous depressions and pits interspersed with areas of deep heather, fast grazed land, small scrub woodlands, extensive marshes and subtle contours; there are few paths. A steep descent into the mainly coniferous forest will offer a chance to run fast on roads and paths but forays into the woods will encounter very extensive forest operations which have opened it all up but have left lots of brashings and unmapped rides and racks. Old boundaries and forest edges pose difficulties of bramble and prickly scrub".

I left first - met Harry on his way to his first, blood running down his face from a big gash in his head (he got as far as his number 8 before calling it a day, another Millar off to A&E!)

messed up number 5 (re-entrant in thick heather) Jack and Damian caught up we ran together untill dropping into the forest to number 8. was sure we would lose Damian in the forest but didn't shake him untill after 10.
I knew that i would'nt lose Jack though and he started to pull away near the end.
