MTBO race (Trailquest) 3:17:20 [3] ** 36.32 km (5:26 / km)

Dromara CC trailquest around the Lagan valley regional park and surrounding area. Was very snowy and icy on all paths so had to go easy especially along side the tow-path!

Usual dodgy control positioning by non-orienteers on a 1:50000 OS map
so most time was spent in the circle hunting the control.
Lots of pissed off orienteers! but not me - I'm used to it now and find it slightly amusing :-)

nice to be out on the bike again and on a real Christmasy day.

Autumn trophy race at Barnetts.
Hard frost and lying snow made conditions tricky but fun :-)

McCloy ran fastest in around 28mins - Ran clean and happy enough with form, did'nt pick up any more niggles or twist the ankle.

running warm up/down 6:59 [1] 1.22 km (5:43 / km)


3 laps of the snow covered Mary Peters track with Jack as a warm down.

*I have no idea how McCloy ran around this for 24 hours !!!!!

Snow run with Molly around Begney and down the 'Madman'

quite surprised with the pace considering I spent half the time talking to mum on the phone about the benefits of flat-screen TVs whilst trying to avoid twisting my ankle in a snow rut :-)

Adventure race in Bangor tomorrow has been cancelled so will go to the LVO event in Belfast instead.
