MTB ride in the snow - Tour de Slieve Croob
Such a perfect day so took camera as well, going was slow and steady so low intensity although there were some wicked climbs including the Dree hill (sharpest climb in the Tour of Ulster)
did not want to suffer frost bite so insulated each foot with:
pair of asics
2 pairs of sox
plastic bag
travel section of the 'Belfast Telegraph'
note: It worked for the left foot
further notes:
Don't ride on soft or powdery snow - hardpacked is best.
When there is a full moon and snow on the ground there is no need for a headtorch.
