Walk 1:30:00 [3] 9.0 km (10:00 / km)

Walk from work to Tan track and round twice.

Orienteering 51:00 [3] 3.87 km (13:11 / km)

Aus champs middle distance at Petticoat Gully. I loved the map and the course - really tricky. A got a similar midfield place to yesterday so was happy with that. Mad a few errors but nothing serious. Our club was running it so there was plenty to do.

Orienteering 48:00 [3] 4.33 km (11:05 / km)

Vic champs middle distance at Creswick Diggings. I made a few errors but overall was happy with place mid-field in W55 as I have been a bit lower than this in previous Aus champs sized fields and am not fit.

Run 1:07:00 [3] 8.6 km (7:47 / km)

Run on a hilly track in Reef Hills, which included a 3 km uphill section. Slow, but kept going. It was another glorious day in the NE. Still not 100% better - a bit of lingering asthma, unfortunately.

Swim 36:00 [3] 1.0 km (36:00 / km)

Swim in the Benalla pool
I haven't been swimming for more tham 6 months and it was lovely. Glorious day inthr NE today.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [3] 4.58 km (15:17 / km)

State Series event at Glenlyon. I felt very out of sorts and conceded to walking almost the whole way. My mind wasn't on the job either and l had a couple of significant wobbles.
Otherwise it was a glorious day and l especially enjoyed the drive there and back through the Wombat forest. The wattles were glorious. Nice to see people also.

Walk/jog 54:00 [3] 6.0 km (9:00 / km)

Street O on a new map in Donvale. It was pretty steep with lots of ups and downs. I felt very lethargic, not having done anything since last weekend - mainly due to the pressures of work and a bout of asthma, lasting several days, that followed the flu.
Newswise - I have an interview (along with several other people) on Tuesday, for the job I have filled for some time. If successful I will have a proper ongoing job at last. Kinda funny really, given I am almost ready to retire.

MTBO 1:33:00 [3] 13.0 km (7:09 / km)

I had entered the MTBO at Lal Lal so thought I should go. However I shouldn't have entered my age group. I got about half way (6 controls in an hour and a half) and ran out of energy so rode back to the start and DNFd. It would have been a long day otherwise. I walked up most of the hills. Nice, though, to see our new world champion (and very proud parents) and to hold his medal.

Walk 1:15:00 [3] 7.5 km (10:00 / km)

Walk around Blackburn. This was the first exercise this week after a flu relapse - manifesting itself as an asthma attack that lasted several days this week and which came back whenever I breathed cold air - making evening activities not possible. I haven't had asthma for nearly 20 years, so assume it was flu induced.
I had to give a talk at the Heatwave conference on Wednesday (there seems to be a proliferation of these conferences as the moment) and only managed the delivery with the help of about 6 puffs of ventalin.
