Note

I finally arrived in Alice Springs after a long trip. The weather and scenery are gorgeous. I think l'll be out of range for the next 10 days. Other than hoping we have enough fuel and water, it will be great.

A nice walk in the sun around Mullum Creek. I didn't get out in the sun yesterday as l was busy cooking a long lunch for 3 of Mum's friends - they had a nice time, although none of them moved for 4 hours!
I'm counting down the days until my desert trip. I fly to Alice and meet the others (all Tasmanian alternatives) then North to Barrow Creek (of the P.Falconio fame) then down Hay Track to Birdsville (9 days without a shower) then (l'm a bit lost here) to Lake Mungo and back to Vic. Due my injuries, it is probably a good year for desert trip.

Swim in tbe Benalla pool. I've come up for the weekend, leaving mid afternoon on Friday, after a 6:15am start at work. It is a pretty gloomy sort of weekend. Regardless , it is always nice being home.
