MTB 1:00:00 [3] 14.5 km (4:08 / km)

Back in the land of the living after a fairly major bout of flu. Went for a bike ride around Shepparton. It wasn't much but at least I was out there. Perhaps the best outcome of the enforced rest (which work will no doubt consider as my 'annual holiday') was that my knee seems much better. It is now a year since the arthroscope and those in the know told me it would take a year to recover. I hope this is the case.

Note
(sick)

This is the worst flu I've had in years. I wont be having a flu injection again ! It is entirely in my throat - some sort of laryngitis or tonsillitis.

Note
(sick)

Oh dear - (wo) man flu..... including sore foot for no reason :(

Sunday May 11, 2014 #

Run 35:16 [3] 5.0 km (7:03 / km)
(injured)

Run around Jells Park, including upthe hill. I felt quite sluggish and struggled to even make this distance, although it was nice to just be outside in the sun! Happy Mothers Day to all those mothers out there. I hope you have a good day

Walk 1:25:00 [2] 8.5 km (10:00 / km)
(injured)

Walk around Blackburn this evening after a wet day. I haven't done any exercise this week - mainly due to getting home late from work and opting for the couch. I had Mum's 94 year old friend over for lunch today for his birthday, which filled up a fair bit of the day.

Orienteering 1:02:56 [3] 4.49 km (14:01 / km)
(injured)

State Series orienteering at Irishtown on a rather chilly day. I dropped down to a course 4, which suited my physical ability much better than course 3 at the moment. After the last event's debacle, I decided to be really careful, which also meant I was a bit slow - but at least I didn't make any major errors. I managed to jog slowly most of the way and knee didn't give any trouble. At least I finished - midfield - and I was happy. Great area and nice course.

Swim 36:00 [3] 1.0 km (36:00 / km)
(injured)

A slow swim in the Benalla pool, mainly for the purpose of stretching my back after all the labouring yesterday. The pool was very warm, which was probably not to most people's taste but suited my purpose today. More mulching followed.

Run 52:56 [4] 7.0 km (7:34 / km)
(injured)

I'm back in Benalla for a few days and ran around the hilly course at Reef Hills. Felt strong. This is the best l've felt in ages. The slow start made my overall time slow.

Labouring 1:00:00 [3]
(injured)

I shovelled mulch (4 meters of wet mulch) for hours and am claiming an hour

Walk 58:00 [2] 5.8 km (10:00 / km)
(injured)

Bit of a walk around Blackburn. Knee is feeling good again.
