Monday Dec 31, 2018 #

Run 39:00 [3] 4.7 km (8:18 / km)

Street O at Abbey Walk. I thought l'd be the only person with no life on NYE, but not so as the event was well attended. Pretty hilly course.

Thursday Dec 27, 2018 #

8 AM

Run 38:43 [3] 5.4 km (7:10 / km)

Benalla lake and gardens. It was still cool under the trees but very hot in the sun.

Tuesday Dec 25, 2018 #

Run 38:16 [3] 5.4 km (7:05 / km)

Benalla lake and gardens. I didn't sleep very well last night (waiting for the pony to arrive) and was a bit tired this morning, but needed to get out before the day heated up too much. No endorphins. No pony.
Merry Christmas to my AP friends!

Sunday Dec 23, 2018 #

Run 37:20 [3] 5.1 km (7:19 / km)

Run around Crusoe Reservoir and some environs.

Friday Dec 21, 2018 #

Run 39:25 [3] 5.4 km (7:18 / km)

Back to Benalla yesterday, and a jog around the lake and gardens this morning. I felt good but was slow.
I had a big gardening effort last night to try and contain the growth of my garden after the recent rains. The neighbours told me the paddock over the road was flooded, but it was a flash flood, not a riverine flood, and subsided quickly. Benalla seemed to get off rather lightly compared to neighbouring towns.

Wednesday Dec 19, 2018 #

Run 31:00 [3] 4.1 km (7:34 / km)

Jog around the creeklands, with a few hill. RH was 85% and l felt pretty warm.
I have decided running (however slow) provides me with 3 mental health benefits, in addition to the obvious physical ones:
- l can think more clearly afterwards (possibly due to brain oxygenation)
- l feel happier
- a connection with nature (especially in the Blackburn bushland).
Although l have a grumpy knee and it's a struggle, the overall benefits are resoundingly positive.

Tuesday Dec 18, 2018 #

7 AM

Run 40:10 [3] 5.4 km (7:26 / km)

Jog around Blackburn lake and creeklands. It was a bit early for me and l was slow. Trying ......

Monday Dec 17, 2018 #

Walk 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

Walk after dinner

Sunday Dec 16, 2018 #

Run 39:20 [3] 5.5 km (7:09 / km)

Back in Blackburn and feeling a bit more alive than of late. Jog around Blackburn lake and creeklands, which were living up to their name.

Saturday Dec 15, 2018 #

Walk 57:00 [3] 5.7 km (10:00 / km)

Down at Mornington for family Christmas dinner. Ate too much last night and could only walk this morning. Knee and foot both sore.

Wednesday Dec 12, 2018 #

Walk 51:50 [3] 5.15 km (10:04 / km)

Street O at Camberwell Central. I got lost before l even started - after heading to the wrong start location. I am feeling a bit out of sorts at the moment and, when l started to run my knee hurt (as it always does if l try to run in the evening) so l just walked. The turnout was low, as it was a very warm evening.

Monday Dec 10, 2018 #

Run 38:50 [3] 5.4 km (7:11 / km)

Run around Benalla lake and gardens. There was a nice drop of rain accompanying the lightning last night, and the world was fresh and clean, although a little humid.

Saturday Dec 8, 2018 #

Run 38:40 [3] 5.4 km (7:10 / km)

Pretty warm humid morning in the NE, but managed a jog around the Benalla lake and gardens. Didn't see any sign of the frog l dispensed to the opposite side of the river last night, after removing him from my loo - the fourth frog there in as many years. I'm not sure whether it is a homing frog so my release location is getting further and further away.

Thursday Dec 6, 2018 #

Run 38:14 [3] 5.4 km (7:05 / km)

Benalla lake and gardens, before it got too hot. First reasonable run for ages.

Sunday Dec 2, 2018 #

Run 30:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Jog around the streets and parks of AIS and Bruce. Legs still heavy and knees still sore, so cut it short, but nice to be out. Too much food and too much sitting!

Saturday Dec 1, 2018 #

Walk 36:00 [3] 3.0 km (12:00 / km)

OA conference MapRun event at Lotus Bay. My legs were heavy and knees sore after several says of sitting too much and eating far too much. I decided to walk after funding l had failed to start the app, and none if my controls were recording anyway.
