MTBO 2:34:29 [3] 27.34 km (5:39 / km)
(injured)

MTBO state series at Linton. I did course 3 as my goal for 2014 is to win the W50 state series, by virtue of attending them all (while knee recovers). I made 2 large mistakes - the first not seeing the turnoff befween 3 and 4, where l had folded the map and riding toward 5 before cutting across, and the second following a little marked track between 7 and 8 that petered out and heading bush (picture Rowdy Flat mining terrain carrying a bike). It was a long day. Highlight was seeing Liliia walking up a hill pushing her bike and passing someone who was peddling!

Labouring 1:00:00 [3]
(injured)

I weilded a mattock for several hours in the yard and am claimimg an hour. I was totally exhausted afterwards. My technique was much admired by several elderly Chinese men passing by - probably thinking how useful l would be back on the farm in China.

Walk 1:06:00 [2] 6.6 km (10:00 / km)
(injured)

Walk around Blackburn.

Run 35:49 [3] 5.0 km (7:10 / km)
(injured)

Run around Lake Benalla. I was slow but pleased to be able to get two runs in within a couple of days - first time in a year. The secret seems to be controlling the knee swelling by wearing a knee brace between times. Apparently this tricks the knee into thinking it is swollen already.
