Walk/jog 53:22 [3] 5.45 km (9:48 / km)

I had a big day. I woke up at 4.00 am and didn't think there was much chance of getting back to sleep so went into work and got started early. After a 12 hour day, I headed off the street O at Templestowe Heights, which would have been better named as Templestowe Heights AND Depths (or whatever the opposite of heights is). I haven't been there before. It was so hilly. I wanted to run but 5 runs in a week is too many for me and the body wouldn't have it.

I had a slight misfortune which delayed my start as I detoured via the nearby cricket club loos, only to find the doors through to the loo area had a one way lock and I was locked in! Luckily after a few minutes a man came through with a key and I got out!

Run 42:32 [3] 5.4 km (7:53 / km)

Street O at Camberwell. Tired, but I jogged almost all the way. I had to search for a couple of controls and also had to wait for a train to pass.

Note

Rest day. I must have looked tired because there was a flurry of people on the crowded train leaping to their feet to let the poor old dear sit down.

Run 37:53 [3] 5.5 km (6:53 / km)

Run around Benalla Lake and gardens. It was pretty warm. I stopped mid way to chat with John Love, who was running in the opposite direction. Time was good for me, but that might have been due to the rest mid-way.
There were 11 campervans parked under the trees at the foreshore today - apparently it is now a legal and free camping ground, and advertised in the RACV guide.
