Note

Did nothing active today, as quite stiff from yesterday. However the excitement for the day was discovering the evidence of a failed break in at my house this morning. Someone had attempted to jemmy my sliding door open. Hopefully it was while l was at MTBO and not while l was asleep :(

10 AM

Walk 3:56:00 [3] 21.36 km (11:03 / km)

CBD rogaine in Melbourne. I went with Anne and Geoff Robinson. We went all around Docklands, SouthWharf, South bank and the city. The rogaine increased the population of the Docklands area by about 500%.
6 PM

MTBO 1:11:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:06 / km)

MTBO at Westerfolds. I had a bit of a headache (dehydration probably) but went anyway. I tried to avoid hills.

Friday Feb 26, 2016 #

7 AM

Run 35:37 [3] 4.75 km (7:30 / km)

Jog around the streets and creeklands of Blackburn, including some hills. I didn't feel very sprightly today - possible because l have been burning the candle at both ends lately.
I have managed to scrape a place in the street O finals as a wildcard in the 45-55 category. Although l tried my hardest on Wed, l couldn't outrun Josie or Denise. In fact there is no one in the 45-55 or 55+ finals list that l can outrun! The only way l can not come last is to outsmart them - which is not very likely.

Wednesday Feb 24, 2016 #

Run 39:48 [3] 5.49 km (7:15 / km)

Street O at Canterbury. It was the last trial for the championships. I felt pretty good - that little bit of training lately seems to have paid off - and l also picked a good route. My head was in the right space the whole way. Subsequently, it looks as though l might sneak into one of the remaining championships places after all.

6 AM

Run 41:00 [3] 5.4 km (7:36 / km)

Run in the dark around the streets of Blackburn, including some hills. Bung knee is a stll a bit tweaky, especially when l trip or scuff. It didn't really like the cross country stuff on Sunday either. I'm booked in on Friday to start Keiser therapy, hopefully to strengthen both my core and leg muscles.
