Orienteering 1:36:00 [3] 6.9 km (13:55 / km)

Woo hoo to boo hoo today. Vic long distance championships. I was a bit tired after a fairly sleepless night, an early morning and working on the start (with only an analogue clock and a watch to coordinate starts) and finally set off. I lost confidence at #1, when l couldn't really make sense of the map and finally relocated off the track. Turns out l was originally standing right next to the correct mound, but couldn't be bothered looking behind it. Another loss of confidence at #4, due to the same reason. I then mispunched #9, where two controls were in close proximity and l didn't check the number. Other than that l had a nice run in the bush with no accidents. It was a glorious day, but l was disappointed in my MP.

Orienteering 57:00 [3] 3.49 km (16:20 / km)

Vic champs middle distance at Petticoat Gully. Fabulous course on a fabulous map. Thanks Roch! Enjoyed almost every minute, with the exception of when l fell on my 'good' (rapidly becoming 'bad' ) knee again. 1st in W55.

Run 38:00 [3] 5.3 km (7:10 / km)

Run around Blackburn creeklands and streets, with some hills. Got passed twice by a woman of about my age who was also wearing the same shoes as me. I then hung from the swings and refused the elderly man who generously offered to hang on to my legs.

Run 35:40 [3] 5.0 km (7:08 / km)

Run around Benalla lake and gardens, shorter route. Feeling a bit plump and short of breath and energy. Hopefully l come good by the weekend
