Run around Blackburn lake and creeklands on the normal route. It a was a bit later than usual and the day was starting to warm up. Knee is starting to be a bit tweaky a bit too often, which is a little concerning.
I watched my god daughter's ballet concert last night. The little girls (especially the 4yr olds) looked so cute in their tutus but l wouldn't be sending in the Australian Ballet talent squad just yet. A very entertaining evening.
Street O at Bayswater. It was a really warm evening, but l thought my Benalla training would prove it's worth, which it did until the half way mark and then a combination of sore knee and overheating made me fade quickly. I got a man watering his garden to hose me down on the way back, which he wasn't keen to do, and that helped a bit.
Run around Blackburn creeklands and lake, in the reverse direction to normal and taking in a few more hills. It was the time of day for well-groomed ladies to take well-groomed dogs for a walk. I must have looked especially evil in my all-black un-groomed puffy state as the number of greetings was substantially reduced from normal. Even a very cute family of ducklings scurried into the grass to get away from me.
Street O training run from the Eaglemont Tennis Club, west along the river track and the back through the streets and parks. I hadn't run in this area before and thought it was the nicest street O l had been on, even though unofficial. I liked a sign on one seat l passed 'If it's going to be, then it's up to me'.
