Walk 43:00 [3] 4.3 km (10:00 / km)

Busy day with a colleague staying at my house. Went off to street-O but felt really tired. Ran the first 500 meters, then walked. Knee was sore, feet were sore and eventually l just gave in as a DNF and went home.

Run 37:35 [3] 5.31 km (7:05 / km)

Slept in and then felt half asleep running around Blackburn lake and creeklands. Lots of bird watchers today. Bumped into (not literally) Ron F running the other way.

Orienteering 1:25:53 [3] 7.76 km (11:04 / km)

Neil's hagaby event at Heathcote. Fabulous area and fabulous event with individual maps (for everyone except me, of course). Once l got the replacement map sorted, l felt pretty sprightly in the bush the whole way. However, l made a few errors. I couldn't see one control on my second visit to a particular site. I got lost about 50 meters from the car at the finish, went to a control out of order and had to back track, and wavered on a long leg and overshot the control. My result wasn't good, but at least l finished and didn't mispunch, unlike most of the women (4 of them) who would normally be in my age group.

Note

Correction (for the record): one MPd and three DNFd. Another in our age group won the overall class.

Run 44:40 [3] 6.3 km (7:05 / km)

Run around Blackburn lake and creeklands. Tried as hard as l could but still could not get a good time. Then watered my vegie garden, where every ripening vegetable has been eaten by possums. Grrrrr.

Run 35:14 [3] 5.0 km (7:03 / km)

Run around Blackburn creeklands. I am trying to get back into a routine of morning runs, but seem to have lost a bit of fitness and discipline while overseas, despite having skied miles. I am going to have to make an effort over the next few weeks as Easter is fast approaching
