It was a beautiful morning along the Blackburn creeklands and bushy streets. The bush scents and the bird song were both lovely. However, l struggled - feeling fat, puffy and scruffy. The scruffy (not the puffy) reminded me of the man l met recently in an official capacity regarding avalanche. He was super smart, super experienced and super interesting - but he arrived at the Wangaratta police station with no shoes, torn scruffy clothes and dreadlocks down to his waist. I was surprised they let him in (or out). I was thinking my hair would go like that if l let it!

Street O at Glenferrie. I went the scenic route and it was very scenic - lots of gorgeous houses, big and small, all with gardens in full bloom. There were also lots of main road crossings and lots of traffic, which made me slow as l didn't really want to get run over.

Trail shuffle beside the Yarra, along the rocky single tracks either side of Jumping Creek Reserve, Warrandyte. Kept moving, including up all the hills, although my time doesn't look like it!

Run around Blackburn lake and creeklands. I haven't run for ages, for a range of reasons including sore knees, work, weather and event organising, and felt fat and puffy. However, my knees seem to have appreciated the rest and felt really good. I now need to get back into a routine.
