Run 34:29 [3] 5.0 km (6:54 / km)

First ever ParkRun (Kennington) but unofficial, as l hadn't printed out my tag. Started down the back and took a while to get going, then enjoyed passing people. There were lots of breakdowns. Was lapped by the OA Director Communications (who came 2nd) as l started my second lap. Great to also see Louise and Tim. Might do this again!

BendiGo To Day sprint. I might have overdone it this morning as l could hardly run this evening. Great sprint course, though. Thanks Jim.

Run 57:47 [3] 7.1 km (8:08 / km)

Street O at Finns Reserve on the Yarra. Russell set such a fabulous course, making good use of the bush areas, that l almost logged it as bush orienteering. It was the first night of the schools competition and l think the boys enjoyed it also. I stayed for a BBQ afterwards and the the sound, sight and smells of the rapids nearby reminded me of my canoeing days, where l often camped by the river. A beautiful evening!

Run around Benalla lake and gardens. Left it a bit late (after chatting to the neighbours) and struggled in the heat, and back was also a bit sore (too much heavy lifting lately). I would like to train myself to get out a bit earlier, so as to make better use of the day.

Run around the Wang bike tracks, before a coffee overlooking the river. It was so nice to have cooler weather.
