Run 30:25 [3] 3.8 km (8:00 / km)

Street O at Kerrimuir. It was hot and E course felt as tough as C course normally does. I was trying to not overdo it, as tomorrow night is the street O championships. The BBQ crowd then came to my place. I had made a huge cream cake with passionfruit icing (a do-it-yourself belated birthday cake). Unfortunately, three other cakes and a cheesecake also turned up!

Blackburn lake and creeklands. It really was beautiful in the bush. I finished with a stretch in the playground, where the pair of rainbow lorikeets were busy making their home in a hollow.

Orienteering 1:44:00 [3] 7.8 km (13:20 / km)

Bungil Course 2. I might have overestimated my ability, especially in the heat and should have done course 3. I messed up 4 and then faded badly after 7 (sore feet, watery eyes, dizzy feelings). I completely walked the last 5 controls. I might need to rethink my footwear and socks.

Blackburn creeklands. Felt weary today and both legs had niggles, so cut it short.
