Note

New shoes feel a bit heavy and running in them seems a bit ploddy - but at least they are stable and knee doesn't hurt in them (so far). Most importantly, their colour matches my running top :)

Run 32:26 [3] 4.5 km (7:12 / km)

Shuffle around Benalla lake on a crisp clear morning. Struggled with my breathing, due to a bit if hay fever. Got to up my working pace this week due to pile up of unfinished commitments.

Orienteering 1:23:00 [3] 5.4 km (15:22 / km)

AWOC championship at Chiltern, women's course. I enjoyed the first half, running through the hills, with the rumble of an approaching storm making me hurry to get off the ridgetops. About half way around, the storm hit and visibility with wet fogged up glasses was reduced to zilch. I slopped my way through flowing creeks and full dams, and had trouble finding one control ( not being able to see didn't help). I was happy to make it back. Last. Amazingly, by the time we drove back to Benalla, most of the water had soaked in and you could hardly believe the storm had been so heavy.

Run 38:25 [3] 5.4 km (7:07 / km)

Run around Benalla lake and gardens on a warm morning. I haven't run for a week and felt it. However, new shoes seem really stable although a little heavier than the previous brand. The roses were all out in the gardens, ready for the rose festival next weekend.
