Orienteering 1:24:00 [3] 7.48 km (11:14 / km)

Ironstone Hill, with excellent course setting by Jenny Ball. Julie and l passed through this area on our walk several weeks ago, and l thought it looked interesting. Today was pretty warm and l started OK although my bearings were a bit off. At around control 9 my feet started to hurt (possibly shoes too tight) and l was pretty hot, so just walked from there, with feet in pain by the end. The pink peregine shoes dont run by themselves in hot weather, in fact they didn't run at all - but at least l was colour coordinated (bright pink face matching the bright pink shoes). Nice coffee afterwards with Louise and Tim.

Run around Benalla lake interspersed with stretches on the Rotary machines. I used to think these machines were completely useless as exercise machines, but the twisting and stretching ones are now proving invaluable for my sore back and seem to help me run faster.

Evening walk around Benalla, including a few stretches on the machines.
