10 AM

Orienteering 1:26:00 [3] 5.5 km (15:38 / km)

State series at Glenluce course 3. I started poorly, with trouble on the first couple of controls that were easy. I then ran neck and neck with Peter Cus for the next 5 controls, taking different routes but meeting up at the control. I messed up the long leg and had to relocate over the hill. It was a cold day.
3 PM

Walk 1:00:00 [3] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)

More control setting at Mandurang Sheepwash. My legs were very tired and my knee hurt. I was setting some of the easier southern controls near the start when, oddly, l got to several of my chosen spots and there were already fresh pink tapes hanging. I am starting to wonder if there is another similar event (ie schools event) planned there soon. Very hungry and tired when l got home.

MTBO 1:16:00 [3] 8.52 km (8:55 / km)

MTBO at Walmer forest course 4. Complex area and tricky course. I did a Bradbury and won my class due to the others MPing or DNFing.

Wednesday May 29 #

Walk 2:30:00 [3] 7.0 km (21:26 / km)

More course setting at Mandurang Sheepwash. It was a lovely day to be wandering about in the bush

Tuesday May 28 #

Walk 2:00:00 [3] 7.0 km (17:09 / km)

Walk around the Mandurang Sheepwash map setting controls for my June orienteering event. Pretty tired tonight.
