Hiking in Val-David provincial park. I tried entering via a cross-country ski trail, only to find that it went through a very wet area, almost a swamp, so I had to abandon that approach. Instead, I walked up a near-by road and found a path that lead into the trail at the end of a cul-de-sac.
Eventually, I worked my way east into the main area of the park. The most interesting trails, imo, are the snowshoe trails, which are all twisty, single-track paths that often lead to erratics where the climbers do their thing. If the bikers used these trails, most of them would be XX black diamond rated, very technical.
