Hiking 3:51:00 [3] 11.01 mi (20:59 / mi) +2300ft 17:31 / mi
Hike on Mt. Greylock starting from the Hopper. Plan was to go up Money Brook, then to the AT and down to the Hopper Trail off of Sperry Road.
Alas, the Money Brook was a killer--the snow was too soft, so I was constantly either falling off the trail, or just sinking in way too much. By the time I finished Money Brook, the thought of more climb up to the AT was too much, so I hiked along the snowmobiled road instead.
Finally I was able to get on the Hopper Trail that brought me to Sperry Road and then I could continue downhill on the Hopper and back to my car.
