A surprisingly cool day for orienteering at Pleasant Valley Farms in Berne, New York. Not exactly a stellar performance orienteering-wise, but I had fairly decent energy, especially toward the end. Lots of water on the course, thanks to heavy rains the day before.

Drove to Woods Pond and did an out and back on the dirt road to the east of the pond. Saw three other runners--a regular crew that runs in that area often.
Cool and damp after the heavy rain around midday.

Since the rain cancelled today's planned golfing, I opted to get in a short run in Kennedy Park before doing some grocery shopping.

It was in the low 60s, but with the cloud cover and the moisture in the air, it felt much colder, so I found myself moving along just to stay warm. After that I just decided to keep moving at a good clip, but to make it shorter than normal. Did not see anyone in the park.

Drove to Woods Pond and ran from there on trails. Came to a new-to-me trail that eventually petered out, so I had to bushwhack a bit until I got to Eastover Resort, where I got back on familiar trails.

Nice cool evening and the bugs were tolerable.

Leisurely walk after dinner to loosen up the legs a little. Knees weren't happy with the first uphill. Still very tired from yesterday's run/hike.
