After waiting for the swelling to subside in my right foot, it seemed like time to give it an easy test--an easy walk on dirt roads near Woods Pond. Felt pretty good for the most part, only a little pain. Now let's see if it swells up tonight.

A beautiful day for a hike in Kennedy Park, although the leaves obscured the rocks and roots.
While I felt fairly energetic, my right leg started to complain after four miles, as did my right foot. I am wondering if I might have a stress fracture near my big toe since it was swollen and a bit warm after the hike.

Late afternoon walk out to the black cows.
Before I did the AT hike, I could easily walk this out and back at a 15 minutes per mile pace easily. Today, an easy pace was now 17 minutes per mile, which in comparison to my AT hiking pace, seems quite quick.
