Dirt Road Running 45:46 [3] 4.5 mi (10:10 / mi) +285ft 9:36 / mi

Drove over to Woods Pond to run on the dirt road next to it. Funny thing is that at 26°F, this road felt much harder than the rail trail did yesterday. Or, it could just be me. ;-)

Trail Running 45:35 [3] 4.56 mi (10:00 / mi) +70ft 9:51 / mi

I wanted to pick up some Berkshire Mountain bread in Housatonic, so it made sense to run on the rail trail there. The trail was in great shape, no snow, only a few wets spots that could be easily avoided and no slippery leaves to contend with either.

I must say that I felt fairly good running today, almost as though it were a natural thing to do; a day off and the nice surface probably helped.

Road running 33:32 [3] 3.0 mi (11:11 / mi) +266ft 10:19 / mi

Decided to run on the condo grounds, too lazy to drive anywhere and I didn't feel like going too far, so this seemed reasonable. Six loops though.

Road running 41:54 [3] 4.0 mi (10:29 / mi) +217ft 9:58 / mi

My "running" hasn't been that much fun recently, even six miles seems like a long distance. Perhaps that's only because I stopped running last December and my joints and muscles aren't quite back in the swing of things yet. So, I'm going to try shorter, but more frequent runs, like 3 to 4 miles max, but try to do 5-6 runs a week. We shall see.

Dirt Road Running 45:50 [3] 4.0 mi (11:28 / mi) +541ft 10:09 / mi

Decided to run on the dirt road at the end of New Lenox Road in Lenox. It has a fairly gentle uphill, so there's no reason to walk. :-)

The hunters were out, of course, but I never saw, nor heard them.
