Snowshoeing 1:45:30 [3] 4.5 mi (23:27 / mi) +1457ft 17:57 / mi

Sticking to the snowshoe theme, I decided to drive to Sheffield and then hiked up the Race Brook Trail to the AT. Went south on the AT just a short distance and then retraced my route, but I was running for much of the way back to the car.

Saw four hikers with packs, who appeared to be doing a section hike this weekend. Weather was perfect for that and for anything else on the trails.

Orienteering 1:51:00 [3] 4.84 mi (22:56 / mi) +787ft 19:52 / mi

First O-meet in some time--over to Poestenkill in New York for the EMPO 2-Hour Score-O, the snowshoe version.

It was a gorgeous, warm day for being in the woods, despite my being out of shape and quite rusty with my orienteering. Still, I tried to keep a steady fast walking pace and did jog once in a while on the downhills. And, I even bushwhacked from time to time.

Road running 51:39 [3] 5.1 mi (10:08 / mi) +207ft 9:45 / mi

I really want to get back to running on a consistent basis, perhaps the warmer weather will help.

Just a loop out to Woods Pond and then back to the condo via Crystal Street. A little snow and ice near Woods Pond, but not too bad.

Walking 37:55 [3] 2.26 mi (16:47 / mi) +315ft 14:49 / mi

After-dinner walk with Colette, for some of the distance, on the condo association roads. A lot of ice and some snow, so the footing wasn't great, which is why Colette left after one loop. I had carbide studded shoes so the footing was fine for me.
