Sunday Nov 26 #

Walking 2:00:40 [3] 7.39 mi (16:20 / mi) +118ft 16:05 / mi

Walking around downtown Boston, not shopping, just window shopping and people watching.

Friday Nov 24 #

Walking 1:06:00 [3] 4.05 mi (16:18 / mi) +445ft 14:46 / mi

Two walks with Colette, one to the black cows and the other to the brown cows. A bit more climb getting to see the brown cows on Golden Hill Road.

Thursday Nov 23 #

Hiking (some geocaching) 2:50:40 [3] 10.29 mi (16:35 / mi) +375ft 16:02 / mi

Colette wanted to do a long hike, at least 10 miles, on nothing more rough than dirt roads, and she wanted to geocache a little, too. The Whiting Reservoir in Holyoke fit the bill perfectly; she was able to garner 14 caches on our first loop around the reservoir and then we just walked quickly for two more loops.

Wednesday Nov 22 #

Walking 1:04:04 [3] 4.06 mi (15:47 / mi) +266ft 14:51 / mi

Two walks with Colette out to the black cows and back. A bit windy and colder for the afternoon walk; really noticeable once the sun goes down.

Tuesday Nov 21 #

Walking 1:06:24 [3] 4.03 mi (16:29 / mi) +256ft 15:32 / mi

Out to the black cows and back with Colette, once in the morning and then after dinner.

Monday Nov 20 #

Walking 2:15:55 [3] 9.0 mi (15:06 / mi) +69ft 15:00 / mi

Since I had to pick up Colette from Bradley Airport at 6:30 p.m., I thought it might be worthwhile to do an out-and-back on the bike trail that crosses Route 20 in East Granby. It is a very well-maintained bike trail, albeit almost pancake flat. I didn't start until after 2:30, so I knew I'd need headlamp for the return leg, which was of use at the end of the walk.
