Drove to Woods Pond to do some snowshoeing and, fortunately, the snowmobiles had been out and the snow was well packed along the road and up Schermerhorn Road, too. So I just hiked up Schermerhorn to the height of land and then back to the car. Must say this is so much harder than hiking up the road when there's no snow.

Pretty much had the track to myself for the first two miles, then a bunch of walkers showed up, but they were all nice and walked in the outer lanes, leaving me alone on the innermost lane.

Clockwise loop from the condo--down East Street then over to Greylock, up to Golden Hill Road and into Lenoxdale. The over to Woods Pond and back home. The roads were pretty clear, so the footing was good, despite the huge snowfall.

Started off at 10-minutes per mile pace and kept dropping the pace by .1 mph for the first 1.5 miles, then slowed it down a bit for the second 1.5 miles. Both the legs and the lungs felt pretty good for a change.
