Sunday Mar 3 #

Walking 1:05:45 [3] 4.02 mi (16:21 / mi) +130ft 15:52 / mi

Walk with Colette out to Woods Pond and back. Very nice sunny day--managed to overdress a bit.

Saturday Mar 2 #

Walking 1:43:00 [3] 6.09 mi (16:55 / mi) +400ft 15:55 / mi

Walk with Colette, whose right wrist is in a cast, in Lenox. Headed south past Canyon Ranch and then did a clockwise loop back into town. Stopped just before getting to the car to grab a beautiful, decadent pastry at Café Lenox. I ate it after I showered. :)

Walking 35:19 [3] 2.11 mi (16:44 / mi) +30ft 16:31 / mi

Had some time to kill while waiting for some students from Simon's Rock, so I put in a few miles near the Muddy Brook Elementary School in Great Barrington.

Thursday Feb 28 #

Hiking 1:30:00 [3] 3.5 mi (25:43 / mi) +900ft 20:41 / mi

Drove to Chester to explore the trail leading up to the summit of Gobble Mountain. Only problems were that I didn't have a good map and I forgot my Suunto watch, so no accurate time, nor distance, just some rough estimates.

The trail was obviously snow-covered, but passable with microspikes. The trail was fairly wide and obvious at the lower elevations but was less obvious at the higher elevation, especially since there were no footprints to follow after the overnight snowfall.

Very nice woods and I expect I'll be back soon to explore the possible loops.

Tuesday Feb 26 #

Walking 32:55 [3] 2.02 mi (16:18 / mi) +90ft 15:38 / mi

Out to the black cows and back. Some strong gusts pushing me back on the way out; the March winds have arrived a tad earlier than normal.

Monday Feb 25 #

Walking 21:16 [3] 1.18 mi (18:01 / mi) +45ft 17:24 / mi

Walk with Colette on the confo grounds.
