Colette was off running and geocaching, so I hiked in the Val-David park once again. The trails in the southeast part of the park seem a bit nicer than the rest--fewer rocks, more open terrain, so no complaints.

Colette and I hiked in the Natural Reserve Park in Val-David, Quebec. There is quite a mixture of trail and outdoor activities in this park, from hiking and running in the summer to snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, both telemark and cross-country. In addition, the park has numerous large boulders and modest cliffs for climbers.
We just wandered around without any game plan, but put in a fair amount of climbing nonetheless. The mosquitoes were around, but not a major nuisance.

Hiking with Colette on Mont Royal on the dirt roads and trails. Managed to find one geocache, too. It had rained for hours before we were able to hike, so the trails were pretty empty for most of our hike.

Hiking on Mont Royal on the mountain bike trails and gravel paths. Very popular locale for bikers of all sorts, roadies, mountain bikers and e-bikers, but they don't show up too early in the day, so the trails were almost empty when I was there.

Short hike on the bide trails to the south of Reservoir Road. Bugs were a PITA.
