Hiking 1:41:28 [3] 6.27 mi (16:11 / mi) +380ft 15:18 / mi

Out-and-back hike with Colette along Goose Pond Road in Tyringham, a very low traffic dirt road in great shape.

We were both lamenting that we should have worn warmer gloves, but otherwise were appropriately dressed for the mid-30s temperatures.

Hike/run on the Housatonic Rail Trail. Warmed up with a one-mile walk, then I ran the next mile, repeated until six miles were in the bag.

Walking 35:16 [3] 2.01 mi (17:33 / mi) +140ft 16:27 / mi

Walk with Colette out to the black cows and back. First time wearing a 10# vest while walking; certainly gets the heart working on the uphills.

Hiking 2:02:07 [3] 5.09 mi (23:59 / mi) +545ft 21:47 / mi

Hike from Bard College into Tivoli Bays and then looping back via the trails close to the bays. The leaves and some mud made for difficult footing today.

Met a couple of hunters, one of whom had bagged a pheasant.

Back to Montgomery Place in Annandale for some hiking. Just wandered around the property, stopped to pick some apples and stopped also to pick up a bunch of Hickory nuts.
