Walking 1:43:40 [3] 4.25 mi (24:23 / mi) +100ft 23:52 / mi

One conference down, but wait, here's another also in Vancouver. How convenient.

A bit longer walk to the Vancouver Convention Centre West where there were considerably more companies presenting and many more attendees as well.

My interest was in a handful of companies, so I didn't hang around all day.

3 PM

Walking (and a little hiking) 1:28:35 [3] 5.04 mi (17:35 / mi) +125ft 17:10 / mi

Walk from the B&B along the Seaside English Bay which connects to the Stanley Park Seawall paved trail. Eventually, I found the trails which wandered through the Redwood forest and they were quite nice. Very well maintained and covered with pea-sized gravel, so the traction was excellent, despite some lingering snow and wet areas.

Walking 20:59 [3] 1.2 mi (17:29 / mi) +40ft 16:57 / mi

Walk from the B&B to the headquarters of one of the presenting companies where three of the attendees were shown an interesting 3-D model, along with an explanation of what it meant. And then it was time to get to the conference.

1 PM

Walking 38:35 [3] 2.17 mi (17:47 / mi) +45ft 17:26 / mi

Break from the conference to get some exercise before the afternoon presentations.

5 PM

Walking 47:01 [3] 1.83 mi (25:42 / mi) +30ft 25:18 / mi

Walk back to the B&B with a short stop to get some food.

Walking 1:20:30 [3] 5.23 mi (15:24 / mi) +60ft 15:14 / mi

Walk from my B&B in the west end of Vancouver to the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, an elegant Art Deco style building, where the conference will be held starting tomorrow. Did a lot of walking around the area, just to get some exercise and to see the neighborhood.

Seems as though the GPS signal in downtown Vncouver isn't too accurate, so the distance is most likely overstated.

Walking 35:58 [3] 1.94 mi (18:32 / mi) +35ft 18:14 / mi

Walk back to the B&B after an early evening Networking & Cordials event where conference goers were able to meet management and other attendees. The food was pretty lame, but the IPA beer was good.
