Hiking 2:45:57 [3] 8.17 mi (20:19 / mi) +817ft 18:33 / mi

Hike on The Finger trail for six miles or so, then I bushwhacked over to the dirt road that led back to Reservoir Road where I had parked.

Saw no one on the trail, although I did hear some mountain bikers for a while.

Hiking 2:30:25 [3] 7.8 mi (19:17 / mi) +1155ft 16:55 / mi

Hike from the Mt. Greylock Visitor's Center basically out to Round Rock and back.

Saw more than a dozen people on the trails today. And when I was leaving, there was a steady stream of cars driving into the reservation.

Hike in Kennedy Park. Still tired from yesterday's hike as I pushed a bit too hard on the return leg.

Hiking 2:17:39 [3] 6.12 mi (22:30 / mi) +1319ft 18:41 / mi

Hike on the AT from Route 20 north to Finerty Pond and back. I joined a group called the Monday Mountain Boys hiking group; evidently they also hike on days other than Monday. The group is mostly old guys, late 60s to late 80s, so there are two groups, a fast group and a slow group. Both groups, however, tend to take breaks and let the laggards catch up. As you might surmise, these get-togethers are primarily social, but the fast hikers are pretty serious, too. Now that I'm officially an OG, I may join the group.

Met about three section hikers during our out and back.

Hiking 1:30:53 [3] 5.05 mi (18:00 / mi) +584ft 16:13 / mi

Hike in Kennedy Park. Another beautiful day, albeit just a bit warmer today.

Met a geocaching friend of Colette on the Loghop Trail; a bit of a surprise since she lives on Long Island. We did know that she was in the area, though, as she had made plans to meet Colette over the weekend.

Hiking 2:05:51 [3] 7.06 mi (17:50 / mi) +1125ft 15:29 / mi

Hike In October Mountain State Forest. Started out by climbing up the Gorge Trail and then onto the Felton Lake Trail which brough me eventually to Tower Road. Once on that, I continued east/northeast and then descended Tower and Schermerhorn Roads to my car.

Only saw one truck on the road and no one on the trails.

Another nice cool, dry day.

Hiking 2:16:17 [3] 7.01 mi (19:26 / mi) +814ft 17:31 / mi

Hike on the bike trails to the south of Reservoir Road. A really nice afternoon without much wind and a temperature of 60°F and low humidity.

Didn't see anyone today.

Walking 14:13 [3] 0.65 mi (21:52 / mi) +45ft 20:32 / mi

Walk with Colette on the condo grounds. She twisted her ankle during yesterday's hike, but it didn't hurt until well after the hike, so today's walk was recuperative. ;-)
