Hike south of Reservoir Road:
Considerably less snow, the positive, but still a ton of blow down, the negative.
Met one dad carrying his child in a chest harness and accompanied by his dog. Friendly dog and friendly guy; not the first time I've met him there.
And Colette is now home from the hospital and will return to work tomorrow. Hoping for continuing improvement in her health.

Hike from the condo past Woods Pond and back home.
The good news is that Colette is out of the hospital and is now testing negative for Covid. Can't wait for her to recover enough to hike with me again.

Kennedy Park Hike:
Heading home after visiting Colette at Berkshire Medical Center, it was just so easy to pull in to the parkling lot on W. Dugway Road.
Trails have considerably less snow than the day before and what does remain is softening up nicely.
Saw four people on the trails.

Hike in Kennedy Park:
The trails are softening up a bit and not quite as icy as they were last week. Light rain when I started, but done by the time I ended.
Met one woman walking her dog.
And then off to Berkshire Medical Center where Colette had driven herself after feeling ill from Covid.

The trails were well-trodden, but the snow was soft, so sort of slippery, but not icy.

Hike #2 from Olivia's Overlook:
I wasn't able to get the six miles that I wanted at Hollow Fields, so on my drive home, I stopped at Olivia's Overlook to get another mile plus.

Hike north of Reservoir Road:
The bike trails south of Reservoir Road weren't as well-ridden as I had hoped for, so I decided to head north along Dunbar Road. Once I reached the Veda Trail, I took that back to my car. But the Veda was a mess--tons of small trees across the trail and a few large tree limbs as well. Felt more like bushwhacking than following a trail.

The warmer temperature certainly has softened the icy trails somewhat, but many of them are still quite hard. More people getting out now--met six people, almost getting crowded. ;-)
