Death run with Simon. 30 minutes in the middle involved scrambing up and down a very steep, loose slope as the light conditions progressively deteriorated. Felt absolutely wonderful to get back running again after a weeks skiing and always the best way to explore a local area (Chambéry in this case - after being stuck in France an extra day due to a delayed flight).

Had to give up in afternoon and head back to the chalet due to my shins hurting too much (bashing bruises). Solved this problem over the next few days by cutting off blood circulation to my feet by further tightening the bindings on my boots and popping some pain killers.

For the first time ever I took the tube back from pole dancing - body was not feeling right. Probably the correct decision considering I ended up taking the next day off work.
