Orienteering race (rogaine) 1:31:04 [4] 15.0 km (6:04 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon (pair 2)

Rogaine Series. race 2. A bunch of us went nuts from the start and slowly started dropping people. It was myself Mike Adams and Toby at 40 mins and then Mike made a mistake and I ran away from Toby. I had a sweet brain spasm at 60mins and desided to change my route and I was basicaly completely wrong and then I did the same at 80 mins and didnt get back on time and also missed 1. Toby got them all just in time.

The longest I have every run so hard for.

Running (Trail) warm up/down 15:00 [2] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon (pair 2)

Sec School Sprint at Lynfield College. Cool map and had to keep ahead of yourself through the buildings. Made some small errors but seemed to have an ok time.

Running (grass) warm up/down 24:00 [2] 5.0 km (4:48 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2150

Before and after drills with Matt. Did the warm up in bare feet. not that comfy.

Drills 32:00 [4]
shoes: Asics GT-2150

Drills with Matt. Fast drill session with more reps that usual. Had 25m for the drill then 25 to stride out and then jogging back. Kept my heart rate pretty high. The hardest Ive done before. Did some hopping versions which was super hard. The hopping was straining my core which was uncomfortable.

Plyometrics 15:00 [5] 2.3 km (6:31 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2150

Bounding stuff up the hill in the middle of the Domain. Very hard because its quite steep and its very obvious when you start to get tired because you try harder but still dont get any higher and instead just lose co-ordination. It was especiallt hard keeping my core steady when I was getting tired towards the end of each rep.

Running (grass) intervals 4:00 [5] 1.0 km (4:00 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2150

3 hard hill reps to add to the plyo stuff.

Orienteering 47:00 [4] **** 6.0 km (7:50 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon (pair 2)

Set a course from Restal Road through some easy terrain then into beautiful hills native slope. It was getting very dark and I was struggling to read the map at all so I had to cut it short and run back on the road becuase. Still managed 47 mins bu the last 10 was just road and trail running. I felt really good and could push hard easily.

6 1km rep in the Auckland Domain. Legs were turning over quickly and I was using my hangstrings and gluts well. I didnt feel super fast thought but I wasnt time so cant be sure. 3 min rest between each reps
