Oy 6 at Mushroom Road in Woodhill forest. Breathing felt very rough at the start but sorted itself out later. My legs felt better than I thought they would once I was well warmed up and could I had a good pace for the rest of the course. Map was strange in places especially the newly mapped start area. Lots about 5 minutes all up being a headless chicken. Just enjoyed the running so much I forgot to read the map.

Also ran course 3 at the OY to get some more time and course 2 was very similar to course 1. Basically spiked everything accept one control where I lost about 90 seconds.

Waitaks with Alastair from Cascades. Something like Lower Kauri, Long Road, Wainamu, Smythe Ridge, Long Road, to the Dam and back to Cascades. Breathing wasn't very good and go the stitch on 2 downhills.

Run from Muriwai Beach car park. Straight up the beach until I got tired then straight back. I forgot to take my watch so was only guessing on the turn around time but overall I ran for 1 hours and 8 minutes. I was aiming to do about an hour and a half so but I think feeling a bit tired made me think I had gone further than I actually had.

The sand was soft in places which made for a extra challenge. My legs enjoyed the flatness and the soft ground but my breathing felt awkward at times and I could feel a little bit of stitch creeping in.

Finished my work at uni a bit early so went to the Domain early before interval and got in some more distance. Just steady my a few short hills too

Hubmann session with Duncan Matt and the queer in the gear at the Domain. Mostly on grass but a bit on the trails early in the session. A great session and was glad they got me doing intervals because I wasn't so keen earlier that day mainly because I thought I would be slower than usual.

3000, 2000, 1000, 500, 500, 500, 500 with descent rests

Legs were feeling a bit tired so struggled to get full power output up hill but could still go fast on the flat and had plenty of aggression left until the last 500 when James left me for dead and I could feel I had nothing left. Kept moving between intervals too.

Riding home from Olivias. Feeling quite good but didn't really get home any quicker then on the way there.

Ran from Muriwai car park through the forest. Ended up doing much more hills than I intended to and quads felt tired at the end up hills. Lots of big but very fresh motorbike tracks which were fun and the track near the beach which I ran back on was very sandy but I was very happy with my pace. Stopped a few times to let the stitch die away.

Hit the road again! legs feeling tired but form is coming back and I could hold a high tempo for some extended periods but still suffering up hills

Took Hannah out to Muriwai for a run. did mainly my own thing and got in some physical dune bashing as well as lots of soft sand! running is starting to feel better my breathing and heart still not keeping up with my brain which still seems to be used to going very fast.
