A short easy ride to help recover from the coastal run yesterday. I have lots of sore muscles most of which I think are from my fall. Legs were a bit too as expected but form is still holding up ok.

Ran the coastal challenge course with Tom, JD, James and nick. We were slow through the first hour because of a bit of waiting and some hard bails because of the very slippery rocks. JD also managed to concuss himself. The swims and wading was tough but very fun! We pushed quite hard on the later parts were he running was much easier. A great route to run and I'd be very keen to do it again.

Archilles a bit sore while running mainly in the earlier parts of the course. The weren't too sensitive at the end or later on that day which I was very relieved about. I iced them that night too.

Tried of the Olympic gym for the first time. Mike took me through a very long and comprehensive series of conditioning exercise. Started with core stabilisation exercises and then onto legs.

Not surprised to have some sore muscles around my pelvis and the side of my ribs the next day.

Rode to work in Ponsonby from home. A beautiful morning! All sun and no wind! got some bad lights but felt pretty fast

Smashed it home from work in a record time of 60 minutes. Certain muscles were getting tired but lung felt good and breathing rate never got too high even on some of the hill which I did push hard on. A bit of stitch at one stage though.

8 minute warm up all on flat. Archilles started to get sore after a few minutes.
10 minute warm down. Still felt fast at the end after hill. Legs are recovering well. Archilles not sore.

Archilles stopped hurting after about 10 minutes into effort (about 20 total). I felt strong today and wanted to run really hard but stuck to the intensity I was told by my new coach. Ran on/over/around the hill on the Muriwai map, Pulpit Hills map, and the farmland in between. Got in a good range on gradients and some beautiful views from some very fun terrain.

Archilles got sore at about 9pm. Dammit! No running for a few days then, but not as sore as last week so making progress on that.
