Note

Kumeu Physio. Things seem to be on track but a lot has changed since last week with my TFLs dying. Trying to identify some imperfections in my form. I feel like once my TFLs are good they wont be any more problems but not so sure because of the pain around my knee cap being so inconsistent.

Cross Trainer warm up/down (Elliptical trainer) 10:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Used the cross trainer as a warm up before core and stretching. Makes my muscle feel much better. I did have some discomfort on the outside of both petalla.

Core Strength 15:00 [3]

Felt exhausted after my massive day at Uni and the early starts. I really just wanted to sleep. Avoided stuff that used my TFL because they are pretty routed from the massage.

Conditioning (Upper body) 18:00 [3]

Bigger upper body session than usual. Feeling stronger
6 PM

Note

Had 45 minute stretch session with Mike. Was well worth it. TFL still very tender

Note

Had my TFL and glute massage. Was as painful as I was Mike said. I think I bit a hole in the pillow. Saw Derek from Physio 8 in Remuera and I thought he was really good. He did a full analysis too which was good but didn't discover anything I didn't already know. I also got acupuncture to further loosen up my TFLs and glutes.

Felt pretty bruised for a few days and getting some aches and pains in my TFLs for 4 days afterwards. Still not feeling that much looser but less random stuff going on in my knees.

Note
(injured)

I was doing some glute med stuff and while do the clam working my left glute med my right TFL started doing wierd thing. It felt to be tightening up and and tending towards a cramp. A combination of it being used to hold me on my side and being squashed on the floor. I also realised both TFLs were super tight and good hardly push on them. They were not like this a week ago but this is definitely related to my ITB problems

Running (road/track) warm up/down 10:00 [2] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Everything feels accept my right ITB at times

Orienteering (Sprint O) 10:52 [5] 2.6 km (4:11 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Had a go at the school sprint race at Massey High School. This was meant to be my first proper training run after being injured but to fair I'm still injured. I just can't understand why my right ITB is starting to get sore when I haven't done any running for 5 weeks. WTF!!! I taped both knees and this seemed to help but later that night got some pains in the side of my left knee. I couldn't tell if these in my lateral quad or ITB
