system seems to be working and the courses today were nice in a woods i last ran in when dad was shadowing me on the orange course(which actually wasnt as long ago as you may think). lots of climbe but well mapped and runnable and technical areas

did toe lifts, up on toes, squats, one leg squats sit-ups for 1minute each and repeated. easy session to get me into it and after a tough few days, but seems like a good idea to get into doing these regularly

mistakes in the first bit not in the second part. weather was terrible but visibility was still ok. control descriptiond for 2 and 3 were mixed up which confused me and lead to 2 minutes of looking for a re-entrant when the control was on a stone wall. still a lot to improve on

didnt really intend to go this fast just turned on the garmin and ran with the group which was around 20 for the first 2km then 3 for the next 4km and 2 for the last 5 and a bit. nice run felt strong and fast, no pace making just staying with it. no pains or aches which is good.

nott a clean race by anymeans made a howler at control 3 which cost me big got back into the groove then but a few more little mistakes. on the plus side my percentage behind winner this year is closer to what it was this time last year and this year was a lot harder physically and technically so moving in the right direction

got to try out my new reflective cag as it was dark, cold and a bit damp. there was onlt 6 in the group this week. the pace started around 5.15mins/km and then got picked up a bit but not too much. i added a bit more onto the loop so that it was nearly a 45 minute run as suggested. trials fo the team relays are on november 2 on the CIT track. its a 2km tt i think. but its primarily for orienteering this training but we'll see what happens

very tough session with college group. we were at the back for the first one but were in the lead group for all the rest. It was 1kms with a 3 minute recovery jog after each. first split was slow due to trying to trying to force my way through the pack but it was clear road for the rest of them.

good hard session and found someone who could push me hard for 900m but i had the extra gear to push away in the last 100. it was good to give the kick a nice testing.

run with UCCAC tonight. smallish group but a few good runners. new loop and today was the 45minute loop but it was definetly easy to beat that time. didnt really do any pace setting because i didnt know where we were going so just tucked in a skipped along. the group for the last 2km was the same 4 as the last night. one of the other guys decided to push the pace i went with him and the others fell back then with around 500m to go i kicked and he had no reply. good session and nice to test the extra gear towards the end. legs felt greatt from start to finish which is a good sign.

was comiing home from a friends house doing chemistry assignments. got almost to the western road when a car of 5 lads slammed on the brakes and blocked my path and 3 got out. the chased me but i took off like a bat outta hell. they got back in the car and drove it up the road after me. i managed too somehow out run them and get into a shop.
this was a tough sessionn and my heart rate was through the roof.
might not be real training but thought it should go on my ATTACK-point!!!! pun intended

good enough run. big enough group started out for the 40minute loop. broke up around km 5 when myself and 3 other lads decided to push on the pace a bit. we got away and pushed for 2km, however myself and another guy broke away again cause the pace was getting faster, we ran the last km together and it ended with a sprint finish, in which i just pipped him. good session once we got motoring until then it was a bit pedestrian really. Nice loop and this group of lads could do my fitness wonders. heres hoping
