Went out with Dooby to the middle model area to have a run in that terrain. Really fun, rocky and tricky in places but i was going slow so was pretty clean, drifted on one or two but not much. Also im pretty sure a control was placed wrong, or else the area was mapped wrong but something wasnt right. Nice views from the top too, just a lot of effort to get there

Ran some of the spectator races today. Got a late start, meaning it was free and just ran for fun taking in some of the controls. Left out a loop so i could make it to the arena to see the WOC runners come through

Note

mixed bag at WOC 2014. Decided to race agressively this year in the sprint quali and see where it got me, ended up missing out control 14. I cant even describe the dissappointment after the race, although ill try when i do a write up to get some of it across.

Nick decided to rest and not run sprint relay ahead of long distance so i got a second chance, a chance to grab something from this woc. 3rd leg and it was awesome fun, the atmosphere in the arena was unreal. Again started agressive and went at it, made up 5places on the leg which was good. Picked i think the best route on the long legs aswell which is good, no big errors maybe 2*5/10sec or so but nobody to run with for the whole thing, just hunting people down as best i could. Also turned out they didnt stop traffic in the area as one person found out as i nearly ended up sitting on their bonnet. Really fun event and had a good run. John McC shook my hand after saying well done and Anita and Dave Richardson who i was talking to after my miss punch came up and patted me on the back saying how proud i should be after picking myself up after the dissappointment, nice moments.

Full write ups on races will follow at some stage, thinking of running the italy 5day sprint in Folgaria today aswell seeing as im around

WOC sprint Model. Nice part of venice, less narrow streets than the training we did but much warmer. Feeling good about tomorrow in the legs and head so its a matter of seeing how it goes really

Easy run from the hotel in Joselo before dinner. Then a nice stroll down the main street on the hunt for ice-cream, this athlete lark isnt easy.

Venice for the model tomorrow and then rest up for Burano on Saturday morning

Ran the course around Asiago that Colm planned the last time we were here. Good routechoices for the most part. Legs feeling good and back to normal

The guys went training in Fort Cherle so i decided to stay at the apartment and chill, do an easy jog and then chill some more. Random loop with the map we trained on in venice to look at along the way.
