Note

Felt like Mrs Fawlty with the foot Saw the podiatrist this morning and she did some poking and cutting and generally prodding at the sore place. When the whole thing starts with "Ive had people who have fainted or thrown up" its not necessarily a good way to kick off. Think it's cleaned out and its now wrapped and has a little toe scarf to protect it. Might try jogging Monday or Tuesday, will depend on feel and inflammation.

Note

Gym tonight so probably bike and pool running for a bit. Seeing someone in the morning to try and decide what to do with my big toe, maybe just get rid of it is easiest?!

Running (Road) 12:28 [3] 2.46 km (5:05 / km) +80m 4:22 / km

4*Hill repeats with a slower group, was just looking to keep everything moving in the right direction.

Running (Road) 3:04 [3] 0.53 km (5:49 / km)

Totter back to the track

Running (Track) 10:10 [3] 2.81 km (3:37 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Noosa Tri10

First tempo on a Thursday in a while. Hopped in with Dave C and Michael who it turned out were doing 5:50min/mile pace, found this out after between 2 and 3 minutes so there was no point in changing groups. Plan for the next few weeks would be to try and get a 10/10 workout on a Thursday to keep/find some zip in my legs

Hip was a bit stiff after and toe is still quite tender to touch, looks like an ingrown toenail but we should catch it in the earlish stages. Taking footbaths with salt added.....apparently thats good
7 PM

Running (Road) 21:20 [3] 3.5 km (6:06 / km) +12m 6:00 / km

Seemed very long and now very tired!

Munster League
Tramore Sandhills & Old Racecourse
Brown : 7km : 28c

SR = 1.061
RI = 0.2

First race of the season in Ireland and luckily we didnt get the weather which was forecast. Solid to the first control and down to the dunes. 5sec miss to 2. Pretty happy with straight lining from 3-4-5 through the puddles. Wobble and slow in the long grass to 11 and 12, trying to stay near the line. was too far east to 13 and lost maybe 20-30sec on the hill, but thought I was in the right spot. Followed the path towards 14 and then climbed back into the control. Slow up the hill to 15, over the ridge to 16 and up to 17. Beach felt like running uphill and then clean in the flat section and the old race course section. Strava says 55m climb, Garmin connect says 107m with elevation correction disabled and 19m with it enabled.

Went to Dooly's after for fish 'n 'chips where we heard the news about Axel Foley, bit of a shock

Somehow managed to run 600m less than c.hill.......although slower.

Added the .csv too

On the Munster league standings I now appear under 3 different names!! Would have 3519points (from 3 races). Need to get to Blue pool next month and then Kilworth to get 5 races and place in the league. Might be do-able.
