Warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Orienteering race 2:23:07 [4] **** 14.7 km (9:44 / km) +800m 7:39 / km
spiked:23/26c shoes: V-J FALCON

Started off well, first three were fairly easy, then the forth missed the stream and lost a load of time. Kept the head and settled into a good rhythm, for the next few.

5 to 7 were good. 6 was going to go through gap between the two hills, but felt going along the crags at the top of the second hill was a better route. There was a re-entrant at the end the lead to the control and the marsh was obvious.

Disaster at 8 loosing about 4min, droped too low and found a boulder close to the control and didn't kop it on the map, eventually saw the one i was looking for. Stupid me.

After that it was going well, glad i brought some energy gels and water, don't think i would have survived without them.

No. 14 was pertty scary, wasn't sure how to get down to it, was very steep so treaded carefully. I liked the combination of 15-17 particularly 16 was really happy with how i found that control. 18 and 19, were a bit of slog, kept highish to 18 to keep in line with the marshes. Climb to 19 was horrible, leg were nearly dead at this stage, but kept going. Farily easy after that and a nice forest section at the end.

Great course, thanks to ivan and co.
