Marathon Trail Distance long 4:50:00 [4] 26.2 mi (11:04 / mi) +3000ft 9:59 / mi
slept:7.0 weight:165lbs shoes: (New)Saucony Progrid Guide TR2

The course took place in Salida, CO Not sure of totally feet climb because I didn't take my GPS watch. The course was dry, very muddy and snow covered trails. Very challenging. As planned, I treated as a hard run and not a race. Of course how can you treat as a race when you don't taper for it. It was good training for me!

TM Run (cut down workout) 1:05:00 [5] 8.0 mi (8:07 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:165lbs shoes: (New)Saucony Progrid Guide TR2

TM: start pace, 08:57, increased .1 speed every .25 miles. Continued for 50 minutes, at 06:24 mile pace. Last 15 minutes, back it down to 07:53 mile pace.

This time I wasn't able to go the whole mile. A great test on how long I could stay in the unconfortable zone. I kept telling myself positive things like Leadville is going hurt much worse than this or 5 more minutes...Anything to stay positve and relaxed through out the ordeal.
