easy run (tempo) 1:28:00 [3] 10.0 mi (8:48 / mi)

Wanted to test the waters and run a higher tempo 10 miler on Sante Fe trail. I believe the same training you had me do later year.

I ended with about 08:48 mile pace at mile 10. It was a good run because I wanted to try and up my speed. I was surprised dispite my absence from training and coming back to Colorado that I don't feel like the altitude has effected to much...

Cool Down: stretches, recovery drink and ice bath.

before going to bed, I was sore in my gluteal medial and minimus region. I took care of it by rolling my ass on a tennis type ball. It did the trick. Though I am not sure if what I did today will hurt me or not. This morning, I am not sore. I need to be careful though not over do it...

medium long run 2:30:00 [3] 13.0 mi (11:32 / mi)
slept:8.0 weight:161lbs

For grins and giggles I wanted to see how I would do by doing the Falcon Trail Loop. Could still feel issues in my right glut, but no pain or reason to hold back. Walked some of the hills to get back into the habit of doing it and I am having acclimate to the altitude again! Iraq was 300 feet below sea level.

Cool down: stretches, recovery drink and ice bath that got rid of any tightness or discomfort...Feeling more confident...just need to continue building mileage and get my strength back for San Juan in preparation for LT100

Sante Fe trail run. I did several 30" ramp ups to try and open up my stride. So far I held it together with no issues.
