bike 2:29:00 [3]

mtb early afternoon
Ugly-bad line choices and not much power. Oh well at this age and with limited amount of time available I need to just put any idea of being a ringer in this category aside and enjoy the rides I get.

notes of use- rode without gloves- bad idea. Really hot and a gallon of water in and out make the grips way to slippery necessitating death grip. By end right hand really cramping more than the lingering ulner damage would have predicted. More than this amount of time might have become sketchy.

shifting objectives for VC from doing well to just non embarrassment

running 1:09:00 [3] 8.0 mi (8:37 / mi)

Feeling slightly smoother. Not sure if its the recent consistency, the rest day, or both.
6:39

weights 22:00 [2]

swim 30:00 [2]

As prior days approximation for 2hours in waves launching kids on body boards with addition of followed by some actual swimming and surfing on my own. Waves too small for a short board to do much and despite consuming an entire tube of solares on as many the ancient egg still taking on too much water for more than 45 min.

Note

Also a couple miles of walking looking at shells and into town and back for pizza.
Pleasantly fatigued end of day with cold beer.
Won't help the MTB skills but definitely burning the calories

warm up then 3 long pulls on 2 mile marks at HR 150/155/160 with only recovery into the 130s in between.

After yesterday I put some thought into what would be sensible so I'm getting benefit. We'll see if this approach helps at all.

Home over to wolftrap for outdoor concert. Had only partially scouted the route so made a wrong turn.

In the car with the rest of the family on the way back.
