running 55:00 [3] 6.0 mi (9:10 / mi)

(retrospective entry on 2/12) road with shadow

Week in review-I had no business logging 30 miles in three days on my current base but hey good weather is good weather. No weights this week.

bike (stationary) 2:25:00 [3]

(retrospective entry on 2/12) Set-up early into the Duke UNC game and resolve to ride it out til the end. Didn't anticipate O/T when making this pact with self.

K's ACL intact but three weeks of physical therapy.

Wednesday Feb 4, 2004 #

running (trails) 1:15:00 [4] 9.0 mi (8:20 / mi)

(retrospective entry) another great day in Raleigh I squeeze this run in before a meeting. Afterwards a rush to the aiport and head home.

K falls on the ice while running with the dogs. They think she has torn her other meniscus and possibly ACL. I hope for a misdiagnosis.

running (orienteering) 2:00:00 [3] 11.0 mi (10:55 / mi)

(retospective entry 2/12) Okay this almost never happens and I say almost because it did actually happen today. Lawyers tell me I can't participate in 2 of 3 meetings on this trip for anti-trust reasons. I already have travel plans. I am staying with a pal who lives in Raleigh next to Umstead state park and he has an old BOK map. He takes the afternoon off. We crash around with his dogs and have a ball. It's seems like fifty degrees and sunny. I haven't seen 50 in a while. I love NC. I want to move back.

Monday Feb 2, 2004 #

running (treadmill) 1:20:00 [2] 9.0 mi (8:53 / mi)

(retrospective entry 2/12) After not running for a few days I suffer through a treadmill session at 11 pm upon return from a trip to Boston. I do this only because I don't know if I'll have time this week for much training.

Sunday Feb 1, 2004 #

cross country ski 2:00:00 [2]

(retrospective on 2/12) Frederick watershed with the wife. only the second time I have been. Although she has not been out in a long time K is from way upstate NY and has lots of experience. She gives me pointers. This is great fun. I find myself much less bitter about the cold.
