Beauty of a day. Carry Miles and weight r/t to and along the stream. Net out another 45 min because he was under his own power while we were stopped to throw balls for shadow.

running (trails) 1:12:00 [3] 6.0 mi (12:00 / mi)

Out with a little daylight I skip the duke game infavor of another outing in the SMs. As yesterday but with a daylight imposed time cutoff. Feeling the hillwork from the day before. Another good run but it is tough to keep ahead of the business travel calories.

running (trails) 1:44:00 [3] 10.0 mi (10:24 / mi)

Mid morning run in santa monicas. Best run of the year so far.

Short road stretch to get from hotel to trailhead.
Much steeper and rockier than any of my usual runs at home. I intended this to be shorter and to stay 140-150 hr but the weather was perfect (60 and sunny) and the views were clear so I opted to stretch it out a litlle. I tried to form a loop as opposed to an out-back. This worked eventually but I had to hustle back the las mile from truinfo to the hotel to make my meetings.

The desire to saty zone 3 and under for Jan/Feb meant more of a fast hike on the longer climbs to keep below 150. Couldn't maintain 140 on the descents due to footing.

Needs to be an a.m. session to accomodate guests so no meet for me but a good base run. Stay 130-135.

Note

Calling last week satisfactory gives me 3/3 in 06. Get to 18/20 and maybe i'll have something to show for it.
