bike (road) 40:00 [2]

running (trails) 42:00 [1] 4.0 mi (10:30 / mi)

Friday Feb 23, 2007 #

Note

Was thinking of riding but the a.m. weather includes the following:

"NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO GUST BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH FRIDAY MORNING. WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL BE CAPABLE OF TOSSING AROUND ANY SMALL OBJECTS OUTDOORS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN SECURED"

This would be a tail wind in the open section. Tough call.

After checking the outside and seeing all the ice I opted to drive.

running 1:00:00 [1] 7.0 mi (8:34 / mi)
(rest day)

A stretching session before and just some active recovery.

running (treadmill) 1:00:00 [1] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

weights 28:00 [2]

bike 44:00 [2]

A lot of spinning drills as my form was horribly choppy on an actual bike yesterday.

Wednesday Feb 21, 2007 #

bike (commuting) 1:15:00 [3]

Inbound trail report-no portions rideable its a meander on the street.

bike (commuting) 1:16:00 [3]

Trail report p.m. Park service plowed from gtown to fletchers, unrideable still beyond there so its up arizona and another meander.

Lights draining really quickly in the cold. Time for something new.

Tuesday Feb 20, 2007 #

running 1:00:00 [4] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

HR 5-10 higher vs. yesterday for same paces. Not a smart training day to run harder unrecovered but I'm stress relieving more than training.

Monday Feb 19, 2007 #

running 35:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:45 / mi)

6.40 another small progression, Would have gone farther but it's crowded and there is a 35 minute limit.

erg 15:00 [3]

because it's open

elliptical trainer 35:00 [2]

bike 35:00 [1]

I am sick of the gym and ready for a melt. That Dmitriy guy has the right idea pressing on in the outdoors but maybe I lack the right ethnic make-up for stoicism here. No upon reflection although I dislike the cold it's the the three inches of misshapen ice that really has me chapped. Tweak my left ankle just walking on this crap while in the park with miles. I would trade for real snow.

Miles is doing okay with basketball in the basement, outings in the yard, lots of visitors, and trips to stores.

Shadow is another story and is going completely stir crazy. I'm going to have to sedate him if this goes much longer.
